USCarrier Telecom Plans to Light Up Metro Birmingham
-Company Expands Fiber Optic Southeastern Network From Atlanta to Birmingham-
ATLANTA, GA – October 2, 2008 – www.uscarrier.com - USCarrier Telecom today announced its plans to expand their fiber optic network west to the metropolitan Birmingham, Alabama area. USCarrier is a Southeastern wholesale provider of high-speed, long-haul, fiber optic transport connecting more than 40 cities throughout tier one, two and three markets. The surge in demand for high speed long-haul fiber optic transport for Wireless, Ethernet and IP applications is pushing the use of fiber and driving USCarrier's growth and expansion.
The network expansion is slated for completion by Q-1, 2009 and will extend from Atlanta to Birmingham and from Birmingham to Montgomery, Alabama. USCarrier is constructing a metro ring in Birmingham with POPS centrally located to provide easy connectivity to their carrier customers.
USCarrier will offer private line Time Division Multiplexing Service which is carried over its scalable long-haul Optical Transport Network. The company provides leased dedicated point-to-point transport with bandwidths between DS1 to OC192. In addition, USCarrier offers wholesale Ethernet service from 50 Meg to 10G. This service provides high performance dedicated transport service for packet applications such as Internet service, Voice over IP, Video, Multimedia and data transport.
